Kim Snider

Kim Snider is the Founder and President of Snider Advisors. She is also an author, speaker, and the host of Financial Success Coaching on KRLD Newsradio 1080 in Dallas/Fort Worth, Saturdays at noon. The show, devoted to educating investors on issues related to retirement planning, managing risk and high-yield portfolios, is as honest and plain-spoken as radio gets. Kim draws on her extensive, real-life experiences to debunk common investment myths and isn't afraid to challenge conventional wisdom or the so-called "experts."

Kim is passionate about helping others become smarter investors and believes that the only person best qualified to handle your investments is you. In 1997, she began developing the Snider Investment Method^®, a do-it-yourself, step-by-step approach to investing that puts the control back in the hands of the investor. Kim holds a Series 65 license from FINRA for Registered Investment Advisor Representatives. Prior to Snider Advisors, Kim worked in senior management capacities within the hospitality, computer and telecommunications industries. She is a member of the National Speaker's Association and Chair of that group's Investment Committee. Kim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has made her living as an options trader and enjoys playing polo.

Kim's Story

An early employee with a Dallas-based technology products distributor, Kim quickly rose to the executive ranks. When her employer went public in January 1995, she found herself with more money than she had ever dreamed. Uncertain about how best to manage her newfound wealth, Kim followed conventional wisdom and turned control of her account over to a broker with a major wirehouse firm. In short order, the brokerage firm lost everything Kim hadn't spent. This painful experience led Kim to become a self-directed investor, developing the yield-driven Snider Method. She has been teaching the method to others since 2000.
